attaching a photo

how do I connect up my photo with the email I want to attach it to please? I can see the “attach” menu but where is the photo??

  1. I order for us to help you properly, can you tell us which program you are using for your email please, Ann.

  2. What happens when you click on the “Attach” button ? Usually there will be a file name box with a browse button, or perhaps a list of folders. You’ll have to click the browse button and/or navigate the list of directories and files to find the photo – usually it is in My Pictures or similar.

    If you can see the photo outside of the email application try to work out where it is from that – File Save As will usually reveal the place it is stored.

    It’s usually best to start with the photo, for example in the My Pictures folder or in Picasa, because when you tell the computer to send it by e-mail, it will be automatically compressed to a size suitable for e-mailing. If you start with the e-mail and attach a picture it will be at its original size which may be too big for e-mailing.

    I have 2 email addresses (is that what you mean by programme Fiona?): hotmail and smartermail

    yes Vireyaman, I want to start with the photo (kept in Photoshop starter edition 3.2,calender view I love) but I can’t see how to write the explanatory email with the photo
