Please could anyone help ? since using Internet Explorer 8 I keep getting a message telling me my browser has stopped working this happens after only a few minutes of use. I would be most grateful for any suggestions.

    It’s difficult to say definitively what the problem is without seeing the PC, but the areas I’d be looking at are these.

    If the PC is more than 2 or 3 years old, then it may not have sufficient RAM (memory) for today’s needs. If your PC is running Windows XP, it needs at least 1GB of RAM. More than that (up to 2GB) is better. You can check how much RAM your PC has by clicking on Start and then right-clicking on My Computer and selecting Properties. The pop-up window will show how much RAM is installed.

    If your PC has Vista or Windows 7, then 2GB of RAM is recommended.

    There can be lots of other reasons why an application stops working and it’s often helpful to make a note of the exact error message and then search for that phrase in Google, as others may have experienced the same problem and discussed it online.

    Thanks Chris for your advice,went into Google found lots of people with same problem. Suggested going into control panel click on internet options then click advanced reset and hey presto it seems to work !
