How do I add favourites

  1. Hi John,

    I assume that by “favourites” you mean websites which you want your PC to remember for future reference.

    Internet Explorer calls this list of websites “Favorites” while Firefox and other browsers call it “Bookmarks”.

    If you’re on a website and would like to revisit it without having to type in the full web address (aka “URL”) then you can tell the browser (IE, Firefox, etc.) to add it to this list.

    In IE you can either click on the “Add” button at the top of the Favorites list or alternatively drag the web address in the Address Bar on to the list manually.

    In Firefox you can click on the star icon at the right-hand end of the Address Bar to add the address to the Bookmarks list or simply drag the URL on to the Bookmarks list.

    You can organise the list if you wish, using folders and sub-folders if you have lots of bookmarks. Everyone does it their own way.
