IE8 best display settings to show all pictures
Using IE8 is sometimes quite slow and also instead of a photo/picture being shown there is a red X in the square for the photo. Is this to do with a Security setting please?

If you are a home user, the red x appearing instead of a picture is not usually associated with security settings.
It’s more likely that the picture has failed to download because your internet connection is running slowly (does this happen frequently?), although it could be that the picture no longer exists on the website.
Things to try:
1) See if you can display the picture.
If you right-click where the picture should be then click on ‘Show Picture’ in the pop-up menu, the picture should load.
2) Clear out temporary internet files.
Internet Explorer saves webpages and images on your computer when you browse the web. In general this speeds up browsing, but if this temporary store becomes full it can slow down your browser. To clear out temporary internet files follow these instructions:
From the Tools menu in IE8, click Internet Options.
In the Internet Options, window on the General tab click the Delete button in the Browsing History section.
In the Delete Browsing History window make sure that ‘Preserve Favorites website data’ is ticked and ‘Temporary Internet files’ is ticked. Untick all other boxes that are ticked, if any.
Click the Delete button and wait for the files to be deleted.
Click OK to close the Internet Options window.
Let me know how you get on.
