Opening Adobe Illustrator files

I have been sent a number of .ai files which I need to be able to access, but my computer apparently doesn’t have an appropriate programme to open them. Is it possible for me to download a free programme that would enable me to do so?

    Hi Judith

    Adobe Reader, which is free from Adobe and you may already have installed, will allow you to view and print Adobe Illustrator (.ai) files.

    Right click on the .ai file, choose ‘Open With’ from the context menu and click on Adobe Reader.
