Videoclips

After switching my pc on,and leaving it to boot up, I have returned to find a presentation (video clip?) of some of my photos running.
This is a recent daily event.
Can someone please tell me which button (and from where) I have clicked inadvertently?

    Hi George

This sounds like the screen saver is set to run a slide show from your Pictures folder.

I’m not sure how this can be done accidentally, but you can find the setting by following the instructions below…

To change the settings in Windows XP:
Right click on the desktop and then click Properties in the pop-up menu.
In the Display Properties window that opens click on the Screen Saver tab.
In the Screen Saver dropdown list there are options to choose different screensavers including ‘My Pictures Slideshow’.
The Settings button allows you to change features of the slideshow.

    For Windows Vista:
Right click on the desktop and then click Personalize in the pop-up menu.
In the window that opens click on the Screen Saver link.
In the Screen Saver Settings window that opens you can choose ‘Photos’ from the Screen Saver dropdown list. Again the Settings button allows you to change features of the slideshow.

  2. Hello Tim

I realise now that the slideshows began after I had changed the screensaver. When perhaps the unintended instruction was given?

Thank you so much for your reply which explains all.
A happy accident as the slideshow reminds me of forgotten pictures!
    Best wishes
